Statement of Purpose

The Pregnancy Help Center (PHC) is an outreach ministry of the local churches which demonstrates the unconditional love and compassion of Jesus Christ in the community – a demonstration of God’s power to meet the needs of those who are drawn by God to the PHC. Therefore, PHC board of directors, staff members and volunteers must have a personal, growing relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and be committed to sharing the gospel of Christ in word and action with those who enter our doors.

The center never advises, refers or provides for abortion or abortifacients.

Since the primary purpose of the PHC is to serve others in Christ’s name, the center is committed to the principle that every aspect of its ministry must be consistent with Biblical truth and love. The end does not justify the means. There is absolutely no place for deception, falsehood or exaggeration in our efforts to bring clients into the center through advertising, telephone procedures or other means in order to minister to them.

The PHC never discriminates on the basis of race, religion, nationality, age, sex, marital status, and whether or not a preborn baby is carried to term. All services are confidential and free of charge.

The PHC is not a medical facility and does not give medical advice. The center always recommends that a client seek attention from a medical professional as soon as possible if her test appears positive, if her menstrual periods continue not to occur or if she relates symptoms of miscarriage. The center does not offer contraceptive services.

The PHC educates clients with complete and accurate information concerning the development of the preborn, facts concerning abortion, the most common complications of abortion, the alternatives to abortion, and the services offered by the center which are available to her. She will then be better able to make a good and informed decision concerning her life and future as well as that of her preborn child.

The PHC is committed to offering hope and assistance to women of all ages who are involved in a pregnancy. Through the provision of God’s people and the greater community, the center will within its ability and resources, offer physical, emotion, spiritual help, as well as practical assistance.

The PHC is committed to upholding the sanctity of marriage by encouraging moral purity, sexual abstinence outside of marriage, and fidelity in marriage.

The PHC believes adoption to be a valid alternative to abortion, but does not seek to pressure for this alternative above the other alternatives. The PHC is not an adoption agency neither do we refer for private adoptions.

The PHC offers love, compassion, and the forgiveness of the Lord Jesus Christ to those who have been involved in an abortion decision. The center offers support for post abortive persons.

The PHC volunteers are committed to maintaining a non-judgmental and compassionate attitude of unconditional love as they minister. Their involvement with the center is their commitment to letting Christ love hurting people through hem. The volunteer’s personal lives should be consistent with God’s call upon them. The volunteers always demonstrate first and primary concern for the woman in crisis. Volunteers must be able to determine when a problem is beyond their expertise and refer to the director for help.

The PHC seeks to create an awareness with the community concerning the needs of pregnant women in crisis, communicating that abortion could compound the crisis rather than resolve it.

The PHC is not directly involved in the political process of those against abortion. The PHC, as a non-profit organization, does not engage in activities tending to influence legislation or intervene in any way in political campaigns.

Statement of Belief

The Child The Bible clearly teaches the humanity, personhood, intrinsic value, and divine creation of the preborn.
The Pregnant Woman

She is a person for whom Christ died; and therefore, she deserves the Christian’s acceptance, love and care.

She is accountable to God for her choices about her pregnancy, her unborn child, her own life, and her response to God.

The Christian

Each Christian has a divine obligation to protect the unborn child and to promote the sanctity of life.

For the Christian to fail to protect the life of the unborn child is sin.

Christians are called to minister to the pregnant woman and her child.

Statement of Faith

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God.

We believe there is one God eternally existent revealed to us in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, that He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, that He performed miracles, that by His death on the cross He made provision for the redemption of men from sin, that He ascended into heaven to the right hand of God, and that He will return in power and glory to judge the world and complete His redemptive purpose.

We believe the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God. He inspired men to write the Scriptures, enables men to understand truth, exalts Christ, convicts of sin, calls men to the Savior, and effects regeneration. We believe He empowers believers to live godly lives, comforts believers, and bestows spiritual gifts on believers by which they serve Him.

We believe that for salvation of the lost and sinful people that regeneration (the conviction of sin, repentance toward God, faith in the Lord Jesus Christ) by the Holy Spirit is essential. Salvation is by God’s grace, not the result of good works.

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost. We believe the saved are resurrected unto life everlasting and the lost are resurrected unto eternal condemnation.

We believe in the spiritual unity of redeemed believers in the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Scriptural importance of church membership.

We believe every Christian is under obligation to seek to make the will of God supreme in his own life and in human society. We believe it is our responsibility and privilege to minister to those who are orphaned, needy and helpless being careful to act with redemptive love without compromising our loyalty to Christ and His truth.
